Pineapple

I was not looking to start a new project, but then I saw this tutorial and couldn't stop myself.
My plan is 20 blocks to make a good lap size, but we will see.  These blocks are definitely labor intensive and lots of getting up and down to iron and trim, but it's totally worth it.  It's a stunning block.

  1. I also saw that tutorial. Your blocks look great! This weekend I heard that Creative Grids has a ruler for making these blocks -- after seeing the tutorial, I wondered if the ruler might make it quicker. I don't know since I'v never used it. The quilt is going to be awesome!

  2. You must get a desk height ironing board and a swivel chair. Ask my back how I know!

  3. I loved it too! Paper piecing sounds too fiddly for me, but I liked her tutorial, actually, I like all her stuff! This looks great, I think I need to make one too!

  4. I absolutely adore pineapple blocks, but they always put me off because as you rightly said, they're soooo labour intensive. How do you not get totally fed up before they're all done? I was thinking one a month, maybe..

  5. I also started doing these, they are addictive! I love making them, and it gets easier and faster after the first couple of squares! Yours are so pretty...
