scraps, in progress

my scraps have gotten the better of me and are starting to drive me crazy, I'm still working on a layout for this one.  I'm not sure I like it (yet), but I do LOVE that I'm using up some of my super old scraps.

it looks really fun! sometimes i think the quilts with the super scrappy layouts are hard to judge during the piecing process since they often look best after everything is quilted.

To me, this is the BEST part of quilting. Making something from SCRAPS. Love it! ! Thanks for sharing.

Slightly frightening to me that I have nearly all the same scraps.

That looks like fun, and I think I spy some of my very own fabrics mixed in there. I really need to something with mine, too!

I just started the same thing. It's nice to see the ghosts of quilts past popping up. I think ours will become a family picnic blanket or a movie night snuggly.

Don't judge it before it's finished. I've hated several of my quilt half-way through, but loved them in the end!

I'm all about scraps lately! My latest quilt (posted today) is made from scraps as well. :)

I'm sure this one's going to be lovely! :)

Two words: Why Not? If it uses scraps and makes you happy, why not?
And it is beautiful to boot. Bonus.
I'm inspired...again.

Great idea! My scrap tub is getting rather full at the moment. This is the only problem with patching, you hold onto every last scrap!

Do you have any suggestions for piecing together a scrap quilt? I've never made one before but have enough scraps to start one. They tend to look organized and so am wondering how to start. Any advice or links? steph
