swappity

a week or so ago Kerri contacted me about a couple different pieces of fabric that she wanted to buy from me...after several email conversation, it eventually turned into a really great fabric swap. I sent her this:and in return she sent me this:I feel like I made out like a bandit! I have been searching for the Heather Ross Mushrooms for a year now (nearly impossible to find), plus I LOVE japanese imports...I was thrilled to get such great fabric, plus I didn't have to spend a dime.

I'm still searching for the mushrooms on white, beach print, and gnomes on yellow...anybody know where I can find some, or have some they're willing to give up?

  1. Oh my, I just love ALL of these fabrics! I swear, if I can find any of them, I will let you know. I can see why you are on the hunt for them - so adorable. I don't have any Japanese fabrics, but I think I would start collecting those - they are too cute. Where do you get them?

  12. Not sure if this will be helpful or not, but this Australian shop has some of them.
    http://www.quiltersstore.com.au/browse.asp?cat=34&dept=Novelty+Fabric&page=11
The prices will shock you, but remember they are in Australian dollars and our dollar is, well...pathetic at the moment. :-(
I've never bought from that shop, so really can't say what they are like. If I were you I would email them first to make sure that they really do have the fabrics you want in stock beofe you make an order.
    Good luck!

  15. Hi, I actually work at the Quilters store in Australia(you were given a link earlier) and was going to let you know about them but was beaten to it! Unfortunately I think I bought the last of the white mushrooms a few weeks ago, but the yellow gnomes is still there! And we are always more than happy to send things overseas.

  16. Too funny, I was on Kerri's blog for the first time yesterday and saw all those prints. When I logged on here I thought, "hey, I just saw those!"
    You both did well.

  23. Oh swapping fabric is the best thing.

I did see that Fabricworm from Etsy has those toadstools, I was just shopping yesterday and saw them.

    Here is the link: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_7&listing_id=20445570&ga_search_query=toadstools&ga_search_type=user_shop_ttt_id_5973558

  24. I love that whole Heather Ross line. The beach print is apparently very rare, since i've never even seen it before! I've seen the seagull one, but not this one. I love fabric!!! You did make out like a bandit.

  25. Be careful about that beach fabric that is listed on ebay. Apparently is has been cut and only the ocean section is left. If that is all you want of it, then you might be interested in buying. The fine print can often mess up the best of plans. Good luck. (I would love to find that beach fabric also as I am a beachaholoic!!!!)

  26. I have some gnomes on yellow - not sure how much, I have used bits here & there.

I'd LOVE to get a bit of the VW busses on blue. (I only got pink & now I have a baby boy...)

  27. I am not sure how you feel about buying fabric from ebay but I found this and I remembered reading your post. http://cgi.ebay.com/Beach-Fabric-by-Heather-Ross-Lighting-Bugs_W0QQitemZ370158805949QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Fabric?hash=item370158805949&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50

  28. Oh, what a great swap! The fabrics you sent are delish, and the fabrics you got in return are equally delish!

I actually have some of all three of those fabrics you are looking for. I don't have much, so can give up a ton. Would be willing to swap a fat quarter of each depending on what you have to swap in return. Get in touch if you are interested.
