a week or so ago Kerri contacted me about a couple different pieces of fabric that she wanted to buy from me...after several email conversation, it eventually turned into a really great fabric swap. I sent her this:and in return she sent me this:I feel like I made out like a bandit! I have been searching for the Heather Ross Mushrooms for a year now (nearly impossible to find), plus I LOVE japanese imports...I was thrilled to get such great fabric, plus I didn't have to spend a dime.
I'm still searching for the mushrooms on white, beach print, and gnomes on yellow...anybody know where I can find some, or have some they're willing to give up?

Oh my, I just love ALL of these fabrics! I swear, if I can find any of them, I will let you know. I can see why you are on the hunt for them - so adorable. I don't have any Japanese fabrics, but I think I would start collecting those - they are too cute. Where do you get them?
ReplyDeleteterriaw, i usually get japanese imports on etsy (search japanese fabric) or from superbuzzy.com.
ReplyDeleteOooh! Nice swap! Looks like you did quite well, and of course, I'm totally jealous that you have some of the mushrooms!
ReplyDeletei LOVE the mushrooms and the gnomes. my newest cape was going to have mushrooms on one side and gnomes on the other, but i ended up loveing the mushrooms so much i put them on canvas and hung them on avery's wall.
ReplyDeleteOh such wonderful fabrics!! I can't believe you were willing to give away some of your VW buses! I'm out of the blue and will forever miss it! And I don't think I've ever even seen that beach print you are still looking for - so cute!
ReplyDeletefun swap! love those tiny prints :)
ReplyDeletethis swap was so much fun!! i can't wait to start using what you sent me. :)
ReplyDeletehopefully you'll find some of those great hr fabrics!! love the yellow gnomes too.
I love the japanese prints! So cute!
ReplyDeleteoh, i wish i had some for you to swap. I love the gnomes on yellow, I have never seen it. I had some gnomes on blue i used in a qilt for my son, and i am dying for more but i can not bring myself to pay $20 a yard for it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find what you are looking for!
I just had a customer who wanted something using the gnomes on yellow. I did a very extensive internet search, and could not find any available anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all the Japanese prints!
what a fun swap, love all the fabrics that went and all that came
ReplyDeleteNot sure if this will be helpful or not, but this Australian shop has some of them.

The prices will shock you, but remember they are in Australian dollars and our dollar is, well...pathetic at the moment. :-(
I've never bought from that shop, so really can't say what they are like. If I were you I would email them first to make sure that they really do have the fabrics you want in stock beofe you make an order.
Good luck!
sorry. i just drooled all over your fabric.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet fabric swap! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteHi, I actually work at the Quilters store in Australia(you were given a link earlier) and was going to let you know about them but was beaten to it! Unfortunately I think I bought the last of the white mushrooms a few weeks ago, but the yellow gnomes is still there! And we are always more than happy to send things overseas.
ReplyDeleteToo funny, I was on Kerri's blog for the first time yesterday and saw all those prints. When I logged on here I thought, "hey, I just saw those!"
ReplyDeleteYou both did well.
I have a FQ of the Yellow Gnome. I need some cute Heather Ross like prints in red for the Last minute quilted gifts color wheel quilt. (7) 4" X 12"
ReplyDeleteI was trying to only use HR, but I don't have any red prints. Weird. Eamil me if you are interested.
you are a lucky girl! What a great trade. I love those mushrooms too!
ReplyDeletesuch a great place...this bloggy world!
ReplyDeleteoh these are wayyyy too cute.
ReplyDeleteThere's just a scrap of the beach scene on ebay right now.

Great swap!
OOOOOOOOOO I LOVE IT ALL!!!!! I can't wait to see what you do with this!!!! I LOVE your blogs!!! Now if I can just figure out how to add you to who I follow!!!!! I got it a few times and then didn't some other times!! FABULOUS!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh swapping fabric is the best thing.
ReplyDeleteI did see that Fabricworm from Etsy has those toadstools, I was just shopping yesterday and saw them.
Here is the link: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_7&listing_id=20445570&ga_search_query=toadstools&ga_search_type=user_shop_ttt_id_5973558
I love that whole Heather Ross line. The beach print is apparently very rare, since i've never even seen it before! I've seen the seagull one, but not this one. I love fabric!!! You did make out like a bandit.
ReplyDeleteBe careful about that beach fabric that is listed on ebay. Apparently is has been cut and only the ocean section is left. If that is all you want of it, then you might be interested in buying. The fine print can often mess up the best of plans. Good luck. (I would love to find that beach fabric also as I am a beachaholoic!!!!)
ReplyDeleteI have some gnomes on yellow - not sure how much, I have used bits here & there.
ReplyDeleteI'd LOVE to get a bit of the VW busses on blue. (I only got pink & now I have a baby boy...)
I am not sure how you feel about buying fabric from ebay but I found this and I remembered reading your post. http://cgi.ebay.com/Beach-Fabric-by-Heather-Ross-Lighting-Bugs_W0QQitemZ370158805949QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Fabric?hash=item370158805949&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50
ReplyDeleteOh, what a great swap! The fabrics you sent are delish, and the fabrics you got in return are equally delish!
ReplyDeleteI actually have some of all three of those fabrics you are looking for. I don't have much, so can give up a ton. Would be willing to swap a fat quarter of each depending on what you have to swap in return. Get in touch if you are interested.
