stacked coins

I almost forgot to post this quilt finished. I can't think of a creative name, so stacked coins it is. Plus it's already out the door to it's new owner...

As I mentioned in a previous post, I used Denyse Schmidt, Heather Ross, and Wee Play (american jane) fabrics...they all came together nicely to give it a vintage-y, flea market-y look. I just LOVE it, and am hoping to make another quilt with these fabrcis for my etsy shop.this is the back...I used a Heather Ross dot, with a strip of scraps running through it.

I haven't been doing much quilting this week. I guess I needed a break...I'm also trying to go on a fabric diet. I really need to not buy fabric for a long while.

  1. I think I understand about the fabric diet. I only started quilting this year, but I'm already knee deep in fabric.

  2. That turned out darling! I love the full length strip on the edge, it adds a really great element to the top. I also love the legs you added. Takes the cuteness up a notch:)

  3. I love all the fabrics together! I really love the strip of fabric along the side. I'm not much of a dieter, and i'm especially bad at "fabric" diets. Do you think there is a FA (Fabrics Anonymous) out there for us Fabric-holics?

  4. As usual, I love it!! It's really lively and bright. Wonderful. There's less white in my latest two quilts and this is making me want to get back to loads of white. So pretty.

  5. It looks great! I totally understand about the fabric diet - however, I'm with Christina up there. Not much of a dieter, especially when it comes to fabric. I just need to sew more!
