flower garden

I feel so happy to be quilting again, I actually forgot how much I enjoy it.  My husband gives me a hard time because I usually plug in my headphones and ignore the kids so I can quilt...it's pretty therapeutic I guess.
Another really simple baby quilt, but I am really diggin' the colors--a little out of my normal range.  But really pretty.
A close up, I love this little "dutch girl" print.  It's so sweet for a baby.
I am determined (again) to make a dent in my stash, so I used this yellow 30's print that I've had forever.   I think if I used what I have more for quilt backs, my stash really would start to shrink.  That is my goal for the remaining quilts on my to-do list.

  6. I love the prints! I have some prints like that, which I'm saving up for a sampler quilt - but the way you used them for simple blocks is a great way to feature them, too! :)

  16. I love it -- and I love how you have framed each block -- there's probably some fancy quilting term for that, but I think it looks really good. I miss you btw. Its soooo fun to be back with Linda.

  25. Love this little quilt! It just inspires me to go dig through the stash and sew! What size are your squares? Thanks for sharing.

  26. You know, I never have cuts large enough in my stash for whole backings. Do you buy large cuts? I'm mostly a 1/2 yard girl.

I like how you bound this quilt with the dark purple. Unexpected.

Also, BTW, I see you added Vistaprints. They just joined in with me too. Guess they're interested in us crafters all the sudden!
