jump rope baby quilt

I finished another on my list of baby quilts (4 more to go). I'm really happy with this one, especially since it sort of just fell together. I already had the strips cut out, with plans of making another quilt like this one, but instead chopped them up a little and made it into a coin quilt of sorts. this quilt measures 38x41in. Not too big. I try to keep baby quilts a reasonable size so mom can carry them around if needed, also the backing doesn't have to be pieced--which is a big time saver. i used this plaid piece on the back, it's not my favorite (i thought i was ordering something different online), but I really like it on this quilt.

    What a pretty quilt! I just finished one yesterday. I enjoy making these little quilts. I have been thinking of doing a coin one and you just made up my mind for me,LOL!

    Wow, that isn't one of my favorite fabric lines, but this quilt might change my mind. those little pops of orange are fantastic!

    This one is so awesome! I totally agree with Brooke - the orange just makes it so perfect. Its reminds me of summer!

    I love Katie Jump Rope and you used it wonderfully! What a great quilt. As soon as I saw the back, I drew in a breath thinking how perfect it was for the quilt!
