caught up!

i am caught up on amandajean's quilt-along.  phew!  i really don't love falling behind.

and now looking at this I see I messed up in the middle, bummer.  oh well, there is no way i am fixing it, it's not that noticeable, right???

another

I have definitely been bitten by the hexagon bug, and I couldn't resist turning them into this bib.  I love it.  

and this bib might have convinced me to make a hexagon quilt. 

I hope I don't go crazy.

turns out

I might actually enjoy applique and hexagons.   I held off for as long as I could, but I just couldn't resist how cute these little hexagons are.  I don't know that I will ever make a quilt with them, but they are so fun to add to projects.  

These hexagons made their way to a bib.

Now that my baby is 8(!) months and eating solid food, I'm finding that our bibs from the older kids are pretty much worn out.  I made couple of these several months ago as an easy quick project.  I just think they are adorable, so I whipped up a few more for the babe and a few for my shop. 

and I always love a stack of quilts, so of course I love a stack of bibs...it's like a bib sandwich.

the calvin quilt

with the help of my block party friends, my little boy now has a quilt for his big bed...I LOVE this quilt.  

I wasn't sure about the quilting when I first pulled it out of the dryer, but on the bed, I absolutely love it.

currently my kids are playing musical beds (not sleeping in their own beds), so the quilt is actually on my daughters bed.  She loves the horse stuff on the back.  I chose this print because the fabric is so, so soft. 

 thanks to the great ladies who contributed to this quilt, I love every square..

another

I'm quilting along with amandajean...and even though the last thing I need is another quilt in progress, I just couldn't resist--everything she touches turns to gold.  I'm using a Good Folks fq bundle, I think it will look great.

scraps, in progress

my scraps have gotten the better of me and are starting to drive me crazy, I'm still working on a layout for this one.  I'm not sure I like it (yet), but I do LOVE that I'm using up some of my super old scraps.

once upon a time

a sweet baby quilt that will soon be off to it's new owner.  I saw this twinner quilt last week and it reminded me that I needed to get mine posted.

the backing is a Nicey Jane print from Heather Bailey (i love this print, in all colors).

I stippled this quilt because it's the fasted way to quilt (for me), I know, I know i'm supposed to be trying different quilting methods--next quilt will be different.  now to get this mailed off before the baby arrives...
